Apple Famine in Midst of Plenty

Apples, apples, everywhere, and not a single one to eat. The organic certification standards are anything but foolproof, in fact you’d think they were out to fool you. It’s been a bumper crop this year, yet conventional, certified organic, doesn’t matter, every variety of crisp crunchy juicy apple has been rendered inedible. At least that’s been the case here. What’s happened to all the apples, how could we let an apple famine happen?

As has become all too commonplace the latest miracle pre/ post harvest chemical is said to be safe even natural of course, however the criteria for safe obviously didn’t include so called ‘side’ effects like muscle cramps, blurred vision, joint pain, irritability, etc. (If you’re lucky the body puts on extra weight to store the toxins in fat cells which protects you in the short term until Obesity gets out of control.) Every three months a whole slew of new additives for fertilizers, fungicides, etc. for pre and post harvest is approved, and if body awareness, observation and experience are any indication, this last round has been a doozy.

If you haven’t felt 100% lately you’re not alone; it’s no secret that there’s a famine of health out there. The breakdown in the organic culture is not with farmers and retailers who have a long standing commitment to safe clean and unadulterated produce, it seems to be with the middleman: the shippers, distributors, and  handling packaging moguls. It makes one wonder, has this been done intentionally to keep targeted populations drugged, is it a way to limit the lifespan of a burdensome aging population, or is it simply the dysfunction of unconsciousness, without thought for anything but self-serving bad profit?

Certainly fragmented thinking and lack of internal tools for developing logical objective reasoning in terms of who we are as whole human beings, is not helping. Plus our bottomless debt has created an abyss where there’s never enough money. A continual stream has to continue to come from somewhere because it doesn’t circulate. But it goes deeper than that, doesn’t it? Stopped-up circulation is set up intentionally to benefit the 1%… a much more nefarious motive than simple greed is at work, which in a laissez faire market  would usually be rectified. The resulting polarization is the necessary adjunct for power mongers and monopolies seeking control over inalienable rights and freedoms.

Power in the hands of a few (could even be benevolent) is ultimately expressed as enslavement of the many, where the reality of equality within the pre-established structure of the human psyche eventually forces a conflict or, if we have the tools and the will to do the internal work, pushes our evolution to a new level of living, being and doing that transforms society. It’s no wonder people everywhere are taking a stand, following their heart and participating in peaceful proactive action. It takes courage, passion, and clarity of mind to rise up and see the effort through to real sustainable change, which to a large extent also depends on conscious choices as well as the availability of clean food, air, and water.

Berries, fruit, vegetables including lettuce, almost everything’s been compromizedpoisoned really. Flour is a real problem. Whole grain needs to be washed with hydrogen peroxide then dried and ground in a flour mill by hand to remove at least some of the neuro-active toxins. Of course if chickens eat the grain the contaminants transfer to the eggs too. Even supplements are suspect due to revised USDA standards for organics. Source bio-dynamic from local growers, get to know farmers who don’t put allowable anything on their crops (just make sure they protect themselves from sabotage) or try imported food that hasn’t been shipped from a country under the influence of GMO and food contamination policies. And beware of toxic product camouflaging as European imports, and of genetically engineered food mis-labelled as organic.

Why have we insisted on doing this to ourselves ad nauseum; this is the pressing question of our times isn’t it? Scientific, judicial, and social processes have become corruptible in the last few years especially. It would be naieve to believe we can reach realistic agreement regarding either the problems or solutions without a clear basis for understanding that we must live within natural laws to survive. Social decay is pushing our internal evolution like never before. We need to become clear about t scientific exploration fits our body, otherwise the perils that have threatened our health and well being cannot be overcome. Objective measurement of the possibilities of the psyche is required for full realization, and it’s easier when we know the territory, exactly. Otherwise as we’ve seen, we can end up back at square one in a most inopportune crisis if we don’t get it right and wake up.

True Wealth is a Body Fit

Mis-construed concepts of our collective minds always seem to get in the way of our freedom, don’t they… freedom to speak, freedom to realize our full potential, even freedom to move as we see fit. Does it mean that we have to stop thinking to gain our freedom? Actually it means we need to start thinking in terms of what fits the totality of who we are, instead of settling for what we think should fit us, culturally.

Steve Jobs never gave up on consciously seeking what fits us as human beings regardless of the obstacles in his way. He did accomplish that in terms of Apple technology because he was very outspoken and expected everyone in the company to be so too (whereas it’s usually considered insubordination). He knew it was the only way to cut through the crap and get to the truth of the customers experience and meets the needs of reality. The next frontier is awareness of what fits the parameters of health for body & mind, both. It’s an axiomatic truth that our brain must be developed to the support the completeness and perfection of a human being’s freedom and self realization.

Here’s an excerpt from The Art of Fitness, “Our body needs to be retrained to move healthy. It means, on a regular basis, moving your body the way it is designed to move, every muscle, every joint, with full range of motion, in every direction, at all speeds, performed with agility, power and grace.” How do we make sure we do this every day so we can enjoy sports and activities without injury? Even if you spent hours and hours a day, we may not put all the muscles and meridians into balance. To awaken the natural intelligence of the body otherwise inhibited by fascial adhesion and tension, the free flow of electrolytes along connective tissue under the skin and along lines that connect the organs must be intentionally promoted daily.

To do this we need to account for every aspect of physical movement, as well as every physiological aspect of body chemistry. Traditional methods usually take hours of daily practice to awaken the perfect pattern. How can we, say in 7 to 14 minutes achieve it without cortisol acid stress – remind the body of the completeness and perfection of its template. David Suzuki at Occupy

To his credit, David Suzuki did identify nature as the pre-established template for economic sanity. He pointed out that nature doesn’t adhere to man-made concepts in fulfilling it’s cycles of health and well being, and if something isn’t working we can and must change it. However David Suzuki’s address at Occupy Vancouver fell short of a solution in that, I’m sorry, but the circulation of money has never contributed to our problems, on the contrary. No generation can be blamed for spending too much, not even if baby boomers presented a convenient scapegoat for the one percent. The call to younger generations by David Suzuki to lower their sights, spend less and save more with a goodly sprinkle of altruism, is propagation of exactly the same self sacrificing scarcity mentality that’s brought about this historical moment of planetary crisis.

To say that we should only have what we need, not what we want, is simply not enough for human beings to fulfil their potential. When we hold the belief that everything is scarce, we must continue to produce more and more out of fear just to make money – EVEN IF WE DON’T WANT IT AND IT’S HARMFUL TO US. So it’s this unsustainable way in which we’ve made money, and how money has been put into circulation as debt only, to allow the one percent to get something (just about everything) for nothing, which ultimately blocks unrestricted distribution of wealth. The bare essentials of survival may work for lower animals, however the moment increase stops in our lives, death and dissolution immediately set in.

To be fully human we must also have the freedom to determine our destiny and explore, discover and fulfill the dreams in our hearts; order without freedom is pointless. Evolution has provided for every human being to have everything we want. We live in a world of absolute abundance, there’s no need for repression. There’s enough wealth on this planet for everyone to have as many yachts as they want if that’s what we really want, but as things stand stagnant, symbolic of status, right now most people who own a yacht don’t ever hardly use it. (No one ever tells a tree to stop growing, it balances itself out. No one ever has to tell another species to control it’s population, it balances itself out. If we remember that we can all have what we want, there are too many yachts because only people who really loved yachting would own one, for a buzz of activity dockside.)

Unless you can use it for increase in your life, don’t plunder for the sake of status of ownership. Every room in the White House is used for example, but building a 35 thousand square foot mansion for two people who don’t actually use all the space except maybe once or twice a year for a party, is a problem because the resources aren’t being used for anyone’s increase. If every person who has 50 cars sitting in their garage, donated a Mazaradi or Ferrari to Zipcar, the shared-vehicle industry would explode. Driving a Lambourghini once or twice may be all that a lot of people want to experience, since it would give enough increase to move forward. Each time we experience an increase, it opens the door for more increase.

Restricting the possibilities of increase by corporately-funded policies eventually forces people into corner where the only option left is to Occupy public space. In my research I have found that some of the most brilliant young minds have staked their claim on democracy at Occupy Vancouver. The freedom stake-out community is constantly in committee developing and innovating; it’s an example of living democracy in action where the collective intelligence increases with a process where every voice can be heard independently. They’re attempting to define a method whereby what we choose. we choose together, consciously. Fortunately people have reached a level of evolution that they can achieve change peacefully without violence, as we saw in the Middle East when a government was overthrown by an internal commitment to unity in the hearts of it’s people.

Steve Jobs Humanized Technology

Just as Mr. Kakehashi democratized music with digital interface Midi technology, and Meta Living Design is democratizing health fitness with body fit pHx* movement technology, Steve Jobs achieved the possibility of the democratization of communications with human compatible Apple computer technology. How did he do it? Accessibility, do-ability, and enjoyability are the keystones to serving the needs of the majority, that’s how Steve Jobs put Apple computers into our hands, literally.

I have to admit that I pre-judged Apple as representative of the effects technological speed has for increasing the sheer stress of obscurity, difficulty, and alienation from the very means that instead can allow us to survive and thrive as a human race. Rather than succumbing to the ego constructs of oppression/ enslavement, manipulation/ fragmentation, and depravity/ scarcity, or those elements that deconstruct society/ individuals as a fully functioning cohesive unit(y), during Steve Jobs astutely creative life, he accomplished the magical with computers that fulfill the needs of our body and psyche so precisely they’re now aesthetically pleasing, simple to use, with the possibility of being more private and secure.

Steve Jobs life’s work has given us the ability to keep abreast of technological change without enforcing mechanical machine-like behavior. Humanization of technology has made computers a thing of beauty to interact with, so enjoyable even children fall in love with them, and with the advent of iCloud we now have the possibility of completely securing our privacy, and protecting ourselves from every manner of marauding spy. Steve Jobs’ life has showed us what it means to be fully human.

Radiation from Sun Body Fit

All life evolved because of the proximity of our planet to the sun. The pineal is connected to the eyes via the SCN (suprachiasmatic node). Production of melatonin by the pineal gland is stimulated by darkness and inhibited by light. Photosensitive cells in the retina detect light and directly signal the SCN, entraining its rhythm to the 24-hour cycle in nature. Fibers project from the SCN to the paraventricular nuclei (PVN), which relay the circadian signals to the spinal cord and out via the sympathetic system to superior cervical ganglia (SCG), and from there into the pineal gland.

Pre-natal Oxygenation Fit

Certain exercises are uncomfortable during pregnancy. Delicacy needs to exercised according to the trimester. Physical as well as emotional and mental stress needs to be managed quickly and effectively to maintain optimal physiological conditions for the fetus. The level of oxygen the placenta receives throughout is perhaps needs the greatest consideration when choosing an exercise program, since most exercise shuts down circulation in the deep organs. Optimization of oxygenation in deep body tissues is always a concern when doing any kind of exercise, and is particularly important for the pre-natal woman.

Deep breathing is helpful for mental and emotional balance, although when done on it’s own without a metabolic peak in the deep internal organs, cannot potentiate oxygenation. Hypoventilation (breathing more than you’re moving) can also feel uncomfortable if breathing exceeds the needs of metabolism. Or conversely, if the needs of metabolism exceed available oxygen (hyperventilation) as during any kind of physical, emotional or mental stress, circulation virtually shuts down in deep body tissues.

Limbic-System-Exercise, Mood Change

What’s the best way to support the executive directive function of the frontal lobe, pineal gland and limbic system directly is to restore the physiological balance to Ignite Passion, providing a more reliable advancement on the usual psychological self-talk required to convince ourselves to exercise?

When we understand the impact of intense emotional experiences accumulated in the process of growing up, we know that memory creates networks of physical tensions that splits brain and body at an early age. This is one of the reasons that simply playing IQ improvement games fail to fully integrate mind and body. By liberating deeply held physical tensions, we also liberate psychic tensions, because every group of muscle cells is also connected via the neural and endocrine systems to the brain. Pre-requisite Prescription Fit

The Coca Cola signage read Perfect Match. For what exactly, obesity or cancer? I thought to myself. It’s a perfect example of how we can’t add value if we don’t know what fits our parameters as a living organism.

Consumption isn’t the purpose of life, nor is it a motivation. Although judging by our collective girth it seems we’ve been trying to find the incentive to get up every morning thru manipulation of our bodies as well as our mind and emotions (even movies have been promoting love of drug consumption).  This only serves to disconnect us further from ourselves, doesn’t it.

The good news is this past year meat consumption, which acidifies the body, (and also produces more greenhouse gases than all cars, trucks, planes, and ships combined) dropped a few percentage points, and the bad news is vegetable consumption, which is alkalizing, dropped quite a few more. So what are we eating? Consumption of sugary processed non-foods has been on the rise, along with acid stress. Quick ‘artificial’ fixes have sadly become a priority. We can extract some enjoyment from junk, but in the end we only create an imbalance that makes things worse, a lot worse.

Stimulants like sugar, drugs & supplements or any kind of synthetic for that matter, ultimately limits our enjoyment of life and only serves to anaesthetize the symptoms. On the other side of the coin discomfort  is being used as a perceived motivator for productivity (turning down the heat in the middle of winter for example). The fact is, if we don’t experience true enjoyment in all that we do, we can’t accomplish much that’s sustainable. Any discomfort is a distraction, and receptivity to creativity breaks down when we can’t concentrate. Sustainable enjoyment is the outcome of health and well-being, we all know this, and yet few have been willing, or even able, to change business as usual.

Perhaps it’s because health fitness is the pre-requisite for life, not the prescription we get at the drugstore or that comes on our food as a preservative. Whole food nutrition, sunlight, fresh air, aerobic-anabolic exercise, and a purposeful life, is the pre-condition of the immune health that keeps us vital and thinking young.

Chemical bas(e)s for an acid mood

Ouch! aren’t they in a huff, we say when someone’s in an acid mood! We speak of blood as being bad, bile as being sour, the brain as being fried, we’ve all heard the expressions that indicate a connection between our mind, our mood, and our body. We now know that positive (or negative) thoughts, feelings and sensations come down to electrolyte interactions and chemical reactions. And current research in the field of psychoneuroimmunology gives us more physiologic insight.

Abstract: Psychoneuroimmunology of the mind and body

“Over the last several decades, increased attention has been given to psychoneuroimmunology investigation of the putative physiological mechanisms underlying mind and body interaction. In addition to presenting novel interdisciplinary evidence, this review discusses psychosomatic disease, stress biomarkers, and recent clinical and basic research into psychoneuroimmunology. When functioning normally, the response of the neuro–endocrine–immune systems to stress results in the maintenance of homeostasis in the organs. However, dysfunction of such physical systems in response to stress may lead to psychosomatic disease. Clinically, several stress biomarkers have been shown to be useful for the measurement of the degree of physical response to stress, including several neurotransmitters, hormones, cytokines, and other materials from the neuro–endocrine–immune systems. A large number of observational studies and clinical trials have clearly shown that chronic, real life stress suppresses immune function and exacerbates autoimmune and allergic disease. We have recently used mouse models of these diseases to show that hyporesponsiveness of the hypothalamus–pituitary–adrenal axis is critical to such stress-induced exacerbation.”

Experientially it makes sense too, a breath of fresh air clears the mind, calms the emotions, and invigorates the constitution. We cannot experience thinking, feeling or sensing outside the myriad of nerve, plasmic, and cellular membrane exchanges of ionic particles going on in our body.

In other words, physical, emotional and mental wellbeing depends on neuro-endocrine-organ balance which in turn depends on the restoration of chemical balance  (acid-base equilibrium), the healthy body pH being slightly alkaline. The bottom line is that our cells like to fire at maximum capacity, and that requires an intra and extra cellular pH value of  7.4 and 7.2 respectively if you want to achieve homeostatic Peak Metabolic Potential™ (PMP™) during a stressful activity such as exercise.

The latest scientific information supports intuitive understanding, and points to a new exercise paradigm that can achieve pH fitness faster. Since our emotional balance depends directly on the quality of our breathing (it may very well be the reason why GABA levels in the brain are more elevated in people who do hours of qi gong and yogic breathing, for example), an advancement on the traditional disciplines requires equilibrated acids and bases in the blood and cellular fluid to he held at a slightly alkaline value even as metabolism peaks within minutes during exercise.

When under physical, emotional or mental stress, the body triggers the sympathetic nervous system as our primary response for fight or flight. Adrenaline immediately shunts blood out of the deep organs and into the muscles, the heart races to keep up to the demand, and the lungs huff and puff. Typically during exercise we rely on the hyper-ventilatory response, and that has it’s place in the conditioning of muscle tissue. However it’s an outdated paradigm for oxygenation since it waits for an emergency response to CO2 and excess H+ ions to indicate more air intake. And then waits again for more huffing and puffing to pay off the oxygen debt, and again for the kidneys to normalize body pH (and natural levels of GABA).

Let your mind travel back through time, way back, to say 1000 BC, and you’ll see why Cleopatra had more beautiful skin than most of us today.

How does IQ/ EQ/ PQ readiness make a difference at the finish line?

It won’t matter will it, if you’re physically fit but not mentally and emotionally focused, and visa versa. All three must happen fast in the same instant, to finish strong consistently. Vitality integrated with clarity and motivation into one-pointed willpower prevents good intentions defaulting into actions that jeopardize success in sports and in business. Summing up will power consistently when working separately with the mental, motivational, and physical components is not nearly as effective as working directly with the physical foundation to integrate the head, heart and body. A sudden and radical integration builds unmatched will power. When accomplished under normal alkaline conditions in the blood and cellular fluid, problem solving during demanding activity acquires the extra edge of physical coordination, vitality, stability, strength, and endurance as well as motivation, inspiration, and clarity. Otherwise if our blood is too acid, the result is depression and bad humor. Conversely, if our blood is more alkaline than normal, the result is overenthusiasm that causes us to burn more energy than necessary. A body that is easily strained by emotion or one that does not react emotionally is weak.
