[ Heart Attack ] Prevention: what are we missing?

Cardiologist Dr. Henry Solomon cited many examples in The Exercise Myth of published studies which clearly show that the majority of cardio vascular accidents where athletes die during or shortly after exercise, were caused by exertion stress. Dr. Amdrew Krahm of the University of British Columbia recently presented a study » at the 2012 Canadian Cardiovascular Congress that suggests sudden death in young athletes is not related to exercise and sports.

The reason given for this new conclusion is the fact that most young athletes die at home when they’re relaxing afterwards, only a few occur on the field while they’re actually playing. Assuming that the cardiovascular accidents in the new study happened after the athlete had fully recovered from exercise training or sports competition (for example it can take the kidneys hours if not days to clear acidity out of the blood and cellular fluid even without the accumulated effect of over-training syndrome) what exactly has changed over the last 25 years to instigate this shift?

If we suspend our skepticism that heart stressors resulting from exercise don’t trigger sudden death from heart attack (not likely since in general 99.9% of all warm-up cool down routines as a rule DO NOT address the disruption of neural, endocrine, circulatory and pH factors that occur during conditioning, adequately ever) then what else could it be? Remember the physiologic changes produced by cortisol combined with an acidified body pH during exercise can damage blood vessel walls much like nicotine as deep body temperature rises and oxygen levels drop. Lactic acid build-up eventually leads to acidosis and changes to the shape and function of protein cells, which is especially damaging to the myocardium. Many forms of cardiomyopathy can occur during exercise where the electrical rhythm of the heart is impacted, including ventricular fibrillation… unless we take the necessary precautionary measures »

Locally-sourced is your best bet.

We might also find a clue by taking a look at the other side of the lifestyle equation: diet. Given the best case scenerio where a teenager or young adult isn’t snacking on corn or potato chips, sugar, wheat, canola oil, and other GMO based junk food after the game, it’s still been very difficult to avoid the powerful neuro-toxins now widely prevalent on most fresh fruits and vegetables produced in North America. It takes a huge commitment on the part of parents and coaches to source uncontaminated food from local farmers. Find out if they use USDA approved fertilizers or fungicides, because if the symptoms are any indication they now contain ‘safe’ neuro-toxins and GMO derivatives. Plus it’s necessary to check if they protect their harvest from farm to plate during storage, handling and transport. If diet is indeed at least partially to blame, then this makes athlete sudden death a social problem as well as a sports training challenge. Without complete lifestyle solutions for diet and exercise that fit the body we can expect things to get worse before they get better as we raise our consciousness and return to magnificence.

When the clocks change but the time doesn’t… #thenewwaytothink

…biorhythms go haywire, literally. Why the time change thing then when it’s such a drag? There’s no logical reason, but then it affects our thinking. It’s a perfect example of when our collective mental constructs do not match reality; the bi-annual increase in the bi-polar mind body split is another manipulation that can adversely affect our lives unless we take meaningful action.. .for example see rt.com/news/199464-winter-time-russia-clocks. Going back and forth, back and forth, for no viable reason is in itself dysfunctional, in a true laissez-faire economy artificial inefficient practices would be done away with in no time literally.

So what time is it really? Changing the clocks was originally instituted as a crisis response to save electricity for war production during winter. And sad to say it’s been allowed to continue to evoke the scarcity cog mentality by disorientating our perception of what the times really are.. Even to the point that some weird rhetoric’s being proliferated that because ‘circadian’ and ‘biorhythm’ are being used interchangeably these semantics somehow make the natural rhythms of a living organism invalid. No one’s that much of a fool, we know we can’t change the fact of movement through space. We’re living in a fantasy if we think we can alter the laws of physics, the ticking clock waits for no one. What we can do is change our response to that reality to improve alignment with the universal principles which determine quality of life.

It’s time to accept time for what it is, not what we think it is, an objective measurement not a willy nilly manipulation. Shifting clocks can disrupt sleep and reduce productivity, the effects can be severe and last for weeks. A 2008 Swedish study found that heart attacks are more common during the first three weekdays following the start of Daylight Saving Time. More automobile accidents reportedly occur on the first Monday following the start of Daylight Saving Time than at any other time of the year. It seems that our body can tolerate the stress of getting up earlier in the fall better, but it can’t deal with an arbitrary clock change that also involves a mental shift of perception.

Compromised mind/ body integrity in the long term is believed to have significant adverse health consequences on our organs, particularly in the development or exacerbation of cardiovascular disease. According to the American Journal of Physiology in an article on Regulatory, Integrative and Comparative Physiology, “Circadian rhythm disorganization produces profound cardiovascular and renal disease…” Plus, the suppression of melatonin production associated with the disruption of the circadian rhythm may increase the risk of developing cancer.

So how can we take back IQ EQ PQ integrity and stop the profanity that leads to degradation of our body temple? As Dr. Herzog mentioned protein cells play a key role in time-keeping, which of course requires pH fitness. Restoring acid base equilibrium returns normal function to protein cells otherwise they can become deformed under acidic conditions, which can happen under any kind of emotional, mental or physical stress. I’ve also found that keeping at least one clock in the house set to the right time all year around helps protect from internal contradiction. And of course I do pHx daily to maximize electrolyte flow throughout the body interconnecting all organ systems necessary to balance body pH (without which complete mind body integrity isn’t possible). Body’Fit pHx is a great way to get rid of jet lag and restore biorhythms very quickly.

Chocolate minus Rollercoaster

Looking for the cosmic chocolate bar? I know I was. A rare enlightening experience that indulges the senses without extracting a price. Chocolate organically grown fairly traded with raw dark and delicious botanicals to match the pick you up but never let you down I’d grown accustomed to with pHx™.

You never know what you can stumble upon it in your own backyard. Canada’s first truly functional chocolate for PMS, anxiety, energy, sexual stamina, mental acuity, and of course peak sports performance… WOW what a feeling! I’ve found including a few grams of Zazubean after a few minutes of pHx gives my day the ultimate power-up. And unlike some wholistic fitness solutions it hasn’t been made illicit, knock on wood, nor should it ever be.

Hottie, Flirt, and Nakid are fitting names for this fix. It’s a body fit… juice your noggin with Squeeze, a refreshing and zesty chocolate bar with Ginkgo biloba, Yerba Mate, orange and ginger. Kick start your engines with Zing made with 70% Peruvian expresso chunks, Maca, Astragalus, and Ginseng. And for the lactose-intolerant, most Zazubean bars are free of pasteurized dairy.

Raw chocolate keeps the doctor away with qualities that protect against heart disease and high blood pressure. Rich in anti-oxidants rich in flavonoids such as found in tea, wine, and fresh fruits and vegetables, Zazubean can help reduce bad LDL cholesterol. A perfect complement for a warm-up cool down workout designed to help prevent early hardening of the arteries common in highly trained athletes that has been known to lead to heart attack even in their mid thirties…. that’s saying something.

Whole Foods at Foundation of Freedom

Regular whole live food at a reasonable price – where do you find it? Most of the isles at the grocery store are filled with synthetic, pasteurized, and denatured non-foods that are anything but  fresh, raw, or real. Even lurking in the fresh produce section, in the guise of potatoes and corn-on-the-cob, are altered genomes with their pre-established natural wholenesss engineered out of them. Other GMO weight-gaining surprises to watch out for in the concrete jungle… canola oil, fructose sodas, soya products, and pineapple, most of it has been genetically modified unless tagged certified organically grown.

Whole food nutrition is the foundation of evolution of every living organism on the plant. Unfortunately, with the advent of processed non-foods, our health has deteriorated drastically over the last several decades. The trend toward eating fresh, raw, and real demonstrates that our survival instinct for health and wellness is still intact. Find out more about how to build muscle with whole foods..

Acidity and Obesity

Deep Organs

Stats for leading cause of mortality in America are deeply disturbing. “Death by Medicine” presents compelling evidence that today’s medical system frequently inflicts more harm on the afflicted.

#3  Cancer:                553, 251.5

#2  Heart Disease:      699, 6971

#1  Medical & Drugs:  783,936

Although the #1 cause of death is medically induced, all three are related. And not just by the fact they take a third of the national budget, to no avail.  Obesity is often the precursor to heart attack and cancer, and a chemical imbalance in body pH chemistry is common to both prescription drugs and Obesity. Acidity predisposes to free radical production, damage, and inflammation. Drugs are thereby also implicated in the #2 and #3 cause of death.

It’s estimated that 1 in 3 children. for the first time in history, are obese. You have to wonder if the legally forced prescription of drugs to discipline (aka abuse) rowdy children in the public school system has not made the prognosis worse. All healthy children, if they’re having a normal childhood, mis-behave. Even more so without the alkalizing diet and exercise that supports their emotional and physical development. In a social environment where 52 million school children (potential gavage customers) are routinely screened just because they’re being kids, the chances of avoiding drugs has been rather bleak (one in four children is chronically medicated in the US alone). It’s up to us to educate ourselves in self care and learn how to raise our children’s IQ EQ PQ without raising them docile on dope.

The good news is that disease cannot thrive within a normal biochemical environment. A healthy alternative is readily available and affordable. It includes fresh air, sunshine, water, alkalinizing exercise (soon will be), salt, and potassium. Our diet, exercise, and lifestyle can be either intrinsically alkalinizing or acidifying, it’s our choice. It’s the job of the kidneys and lungs to rectify pH acidity in the body. It’s our job to help our organs speed up the process when we’re under acid stress. Restoring acid base equilibrium necessary for efficient cellular metabolism requires water, sea salt, potassium, and oxygen as a top priority.

In addition to the increased oxygen needs of metabolically active tissue, extra oxygen is required to convert the lactic acid produced by muscle contraction into glucose and restore normal alkalinity. When oxygen supply is shunted away from deep organs, potassium concentration inside and outside cells rises out of proportion, and the electrical response of the cells slows down. Working muscles typically pull oxygen and electrolytes out of the rest of the body in order to maintain contractility despite the acidic conditions normally created by exercise. However, studies show that even moderate lack of oxygen can reduce contractility due to the imbalance of sodium and potassium electrolytes, and reduced sensitivity of contractile proteins to calcium. Prior to and immediately after walking, running, or any kind of sport (which shuts down circulation to the viscera when working muscles pulls blood out of the body) a warm-up and cool down with the kind of exercise that opens up deep organ circulation, this is essential for pH fitness.

Alkalizing body pH acidity with a pHx exercise warm-up and regular whole foods daily, recharges cells and normalizes metabolism. It”s within our power to prevent untimely death from medical causes like drugs, and degenerative disease like cancer and heart attack. We can’t say we didn’t know what happens when we hand over our free will and default on our freedom of choice.

Stress, Food, and Inflammation: Psychoneuroimmunology and Nutrition at the Cutting Edge  JANICE K. KIECOLT-GLASER, PHD

Abstract: Inflammation is the common link among the leading causes of death. Mechanistic studies have shown how various dietary components can modulate key pathways to inflammation, including sympathetic activity, oxidative stress, transcription factor nuclear factor-􏰀B activation, and proinflammatory cytokine production. Behavioral studies have demonstrated that stressful events and depression can also influence inflammation through these same processes. If the joint contributions of diet and behavior to inflammation were simply additive, they would be important. However, several far more intriguing interactive possibilities are discussed: stress influences food choices; stress can enhance maladaptive metabolic responses to unhealthy meals; and diet can affect mood as well as proinflammatory responses to stressors. Furthermore, because the vagus nerve innervates tissues involved in the digestion, absorption, and metabolism of nutrients, vagal activation can directly and profoundly influence metabolic responses to food, as well as inflammation; in turn, both depression and stress have well-documented negative effects on vagal activation, contributing to the lively interplay between the brain and the gut. As one example, omega-3 fatty acid intake can boost mood and vagal tone, dampen nuclear factor-􏰀B activation and responses to endotoxin, and modulate the magnitude of inflammatory responses to stressors. A better understanding of how stressors, negative emotions, and unhealthy meals work together to enhance inflammation will benefit behavioral and nutritional research, as well as the broader biomedical community.

Go Green – Actually Get Healthy

We’re not really going green unless what we’re doing is a green body fit. If the template for ‘green’ isn’t our complete and perfect pre-established DNA blueprint, then what’s the point? It’s true, going green does make the economy more sustainable, but if it doesn’t also meet the criteria of a healthy body, the default is compromised solutions which haven’t withstood global crisis. Achieving a green body is the most difficult and exacting bill to fill because it has mental and emotional as well as physical implications. It requires understanding what it takes to build will power.

Squeezing mental performance out of sitting for longer and longer hours has not done it. Only finding the correct balance between sitting, standing, and walking activities that promote creative thinking throughout the workday will do that. Master/slave-like professional relationships within the corporate hierarchy has not done it. Only mutual trust-based equanimity encourages the free expression that manifests profit-making innovation. The holocaust of whole foods and corruption of our food supply with genetic manipulation, irradiation, chemical additives, etc. for the sake of extending shelf life indefinately has not done it. Only providing the human body with the nutrients it needs to rebuild and renew itself in its complete and perfectt pattern into old age will empower us to “go green”.

Health is not the default of wealth, necessarily. Fortitude in successfully directing wealth towards health and well-being with sufficient speed to match our technological world requires deliberate physical, emotional, and mental integration – an intellectual focus (mental acuity for adaptation), emotional motivation (what we want that’s meaningful to us), and our physical foundation (the vitality to perform purposeful work and achieve our goal). Fast integration on a daily basis gives willpower unparalleled stability.

Precise new tools have emerged that fit the pre-established human template – naturally and physiologically accelerating the  IQ, EQ, PQ integrity that defines sustainability. In no way can we bypass this process and achieve environmental or personal health (as human history has proved ad nauseam). This becomes especially noticeable in extreme action and Olympic sports because it can be lethal if you’re not completely integrated and focused physiologically with a pH fit. It’s not something we can afford to take for granted. The more precision, the more speed… to exercise your scientific curiosity just google ‘pH fitness‘ and observe the benefits of a truly green body.

Electrolytes Critical to Health

The distribution of electrolyte minerals in a living organism has a specific configuration when the body is healthy… it is an ionic pattern that is pre-established. Each individual has their own unique and individual electromagnetic field which is affected by and made stronger by the pre-established electromagnetic field of all other living organisms. In other words when you change the distribution of ions in a genome through genetic manipulation it no longer fits in terms of building strength of the ecosystem as a whole, and results in a weaker devitalized organism.

BodyFitLife.com has a very effective total body cardiovascular warm-up, Body’Fit pH Fitness™ exercise (short form…pHx™) restores the electric action potential of the neural system to it’s full strength with an exact body fit that returns pH to normal in as little of 5 minutes while equalizing V02max in large and small muscles with the most economical dynamic stretching exercise of the entire musculature through range of movement. Body pH (which is usually made acidic during exercise and sports) balances the electrolytes and integrates our neural system to restore our electromagnetic field at the DNA level if exercise is an exact physiological fit.

Research into both animals and the human body revealed that the electrical potentials on the skin and inside the body reflected the arrangement of the nervous system. The electric potential is disrupted by when body pH is acidic because the body will use up electrolytes in an attempt to neutralize the pH, and this is reflected in metabolic difficulties with weight loss in obesity, nervous system imbalances, increased fibrillation angina heart attack risk, and degenerative disease in general.

Try pHx™ Dynamic Stretching

When I set out to identify the exact exercise sequence and pattern that could radically reduce the time it takes to reach peak physical condition for the 2010 Olympic games, I knew it was a daunting task. How do you maximize the metabolic electric potential for sports performance in as little as 5 to 15 minutes without disrupting chemical balance of body pH? How do you balance V02max in all the muscles that fast without making the body acidic? These are the critical questions since most exercise deaths are the result of heart attack. Body pH balance is necessary for heart health, conditioning speed, and overtraining injury prevention/recovery. A revolutionary dynamic stretching warm-up cool down that can rapidly restore body pH balance at the same time that it equalizes V02max in all muscles, is required to achieve pH fitness at Peak Metabolic Potential™ (PMP™). Almost four decades of testing and research has produced Body’Fit pH Fitness™ (short form… pHx™), It’s now possible for sports athletes to get More Out of Exercise™ without acid pH stress in 5 to 15 minutes depending on the speed and rep pattern of the 24 movement/ breathing exercises in the Body’Fit pHx routine.

Salt Deficiency: Heart Attack Risk

Salt Deficiency: the cause of many serious diseases http://www.shirleys-wellness-cafe.com/salt.htm#1

There was a time when I didn’t even have salt in the kitchen. Yes, I admit it. I can be (or hopefully used to be) just as susceptible to media hype that latches on to easily marketable over-simplifications that sell more newspapers or whatever, as the next person. Fact is the electrolytes found in salt, especially sea salt are absolutely essential to life.

“An eight-year study of a New York City hypertensive population stratified for sodium intake levels found those on low-salt diets had more than four times as many heart attacks as those on normal sodium diets.”

That’s a pretty shocking statistic, isn’t it! Especially since it’s the people who are trying to be healthy are the ones who actually do things like to cut back on salt. Runners who shun salt, and who also drink distilled water (with all the electrolytes removed), are at even at greater risk since water is the pre-condition for the body absorbing rather than losing electrolytes.

That’s one thing, the other is that the body becomes acidic from the lactic acid, overheating and the usual shut down of deep organs, etc. produced by physical exertion. Because all cells like to fire at maximum capacity, the body will attempt to regain acid base equilibrium ie. balance body pH chemistry by pulling electrolytes from anywhere it can get them… bones for example. Exercise usually is not able to restore the normal alkaline balance, as is obviated by the hyperventilation which ensues after a few moments.

Add to that the risk of fibrillation (disruption of the electrical activity of the heart) during running (acidosis during endurance cardio workouts can imbalance the electrical action potential of positive and negative ions inside and outside the heart cells) and it could explain why the risk of heart stroke or cardiac arrest is so high amongst those inclined to follow a health fad like reducing salt intake.

I’ve also found a daily cardio warm-up routine that prevents the body becoming acidic  during exercise improving cardiovascular health.
