California’s PROP 37 GMO food labelling initiative was defeated thanks to the misleading advertising by GMO giants just days prior to the vote. Apparently some $45 to $48 million of advertising aimed at convincing voters that GMO is safe for consumption swayed the vote.
So how do you avoid GMO. In a nutshell just about all processed food, even if it’s organic can include GMO ingredients, so stop buying it. Instead, buy local, and be sure to ask the farmer how they’re protecting their crops from the GMO giants and even the USDA.

The distribution of electrolyte minerals in a living organism has a specific configuration when the body is healthy… it is an ionic pattern that is pre-established. The first layer of denial becomes apparent with the common perception that resource commodities are represented with a positive money value. In fact wealth is represented by debt. At the beginning of the 20th century, behind closed doors and without democratic debate, government handed over their constitutional duty to issue the money supply through the federal reserve to the banks. That’s how bankruptcy was built into the monetary system.
The advantage is that productivity needs to be kept at maximum levels in order to bring more money into circulation. The disadvantage is that we eventually run out of natural resources, and we’re required to invent unnatural resources such as cloning. This is where deceit comes in… prestigious deceit by the International Society for Horticultural Science, for example. They’re even trying to hide the manipulated genes by hybridizing different varieties as in the case of Del Monte Extra Sweet Pineapple, and passing them over as conventionally grown. More than genomes are being manipulated with the introduction of synthetic genetically engineered organisms into the ecosystem and into our bodies. It’s good for… well good for the economy anyway. And besides it tastes good.
Too good maybe… the widespread spreading of America’s midsection began about the same time as the widespread introduction of GMO crops such as corn, canola, soy, and potatoes. About 68 percent of the products found in your supermarket contain genetically engineered food (which incidentally is about the same percentage as the number of obese and overweight people in North America). On the surface obesity on this scale doesn’t make sense in this day and age of health consciousness.

Health or Health Hazard?

Although the in-exact science of manipulation and modification of genetic material in order to produce the weaker GM organisms that have unusual and often unpredictable characteristics, may perpetuate the imbalance in distribution of resources to pharmaceutical and chemical industries… the question is does it work? I mean we can manipulate genes in the name of health till the cows come home, but it doesn’t mean it won’t over time contaminate the entire food chain and consequently destroy us as a species despite calling a spade, a rake.

Most of us don’t have to work ourselves to death to make a living, most of us aren’t constantly threatened by a waring tribe, we don’t get extremely cold living or working without central heating, we aren’t sleeping in the dirt or living in hovels without running water… we are enjoying the fruit of labour of those who have.
Longevity is not the product of anything particularily smart about what we’re doing (it’s certainly not due to our addiction to anti-biotics and drugs with endless side effects). No, contemporary longevity is the product of privilege. It may seem like we’re getting something for nothing, but when our inheritance runs out, so will our lack of self responsibility need to. And I should think we’ll need some precise scientific solutions that fit with the re-established laws of nature, won’t we?

Good taste starts with fresh, organic and artisan ingredients. And it finishes with how much more energized you feel after the meal. If you eat out a lot like a lot of us do, after a while you just don’t want to settle for synthetic GMO potatoes french fried in GMO canola oil with a can of coke sweetened with artificial sugar or worse yet that high fructose sugar, GMO corn sweetener. Ever notice how sluggish you feel afterwards, it just doesn’t energize like organic sugars, oils, and fresh produce, does it? I can’t imagine what you’d feel like after franken burgers, well… let’s not go there.
Fine cuisine is a chef’s passion, so it’s no surprise that they’d be amongst the first to make no compromises when it comes to delicious, nutritious yet beautifully presented organically grown artisan dishes. Food is after-all the basis of life, along with clean air and water, as the crown of creation human being are free to enjoy it all with responsible stewardship. The planet is the only home we have while we’re alive.
