How can rectify the dichotomy of inferiority/ superiority which plagues the Domain of Hierarchies – where we take the position of inferiority internally, we act outwardly superior; and where we take the position of superiority internally, we’re demonstratively inferior? In brief it’s necessary to take our space by consciously integrating speech and body language with the rhythm of our heart beat.
The fastest way to achieve a higher level of integration in terms of how we express ourselves is through physiological balance between the head, chest, and abdomen. This doesn’t happen simply as a matter of good intentions. To consistently relate fully present in the moment, with neither superiority or inferiority, you have to employ precise tools designed according to pre-established laws. Or the default is dis-integration as soon as mental, emotional and/or physical stress produces physiologic chemical imbalance.
When the lumbar, thoracic, and cervical vertebrae of the head, chest, and abdomen are put into balance under conditions of a normal body pH (physiologic chemical balance), we can more easily take our space harmoniously within the cosmos (to speak up).The mental centre in the head is what allows us to analyze and adapt to our environment), in the emotional centre in the chest allows us to relate to others empathetically, and the physical centre in the abdomen makes meaning of the world through gut feelings perceived analogically as metaphorical comparison.
What’s else is required to take ownership of our space, whether that be physical, emotional or intellectual space? The physical system that corresponds to the Function of Space in the psyche is the musculo-skeletal system – it’s what gives us the concept of structure. A balanced musculo-skeletal system helps give us the stability of authentic authority which catalyzes in our psyche the idea of No Position – of consciously taking the space to fulfil our needs, instead of unconsciously taking a position.
Body’Fit Life terms this “olympic IQ/EQ/PQ integrity” according to the original definition of ‘olympic’ – it’s what gets us more out life, as well as sports performance. And is also crucial because it can be lethal if you’re not completely integrated and focused physiologically, with a pH fit. Are you ready inside/out for the 2010 Vancouver Olympics this winter?
