That’s the question, not how much money you’re saving. Sure those aluminum pots and pan are cheap, but once the teflon coating gets chipped, you’re sucking up the metal poison while promising yourself you’re going to replace it. I know I’ve been there.
It’s interesting how we get so attached to our cookware isn’t it? One particular item I haven’t been able to let go of is one of those amber colored glass saucepans, I bought it about 20 years ago. That’s right, look out for glass as well as aluminum when it comes to cookware. A scientist friend has warned me not to get it too hot or it would release toxic gases into the food especially as it gets older. I ignored the kind word of advise. I guess I jumped out of the aluminum pot into the fire on that one.
Safe/ or Sorry… that’s it, it’s time to go shopping!
I agree… and was thinking the same thing. Avoiding toxins in everyway possible is a critical element to a healthier life and fit.
